Enter your car, close the door, and press and release the LOCK BUTTON on your key fob five times within the span of 10 seconds. Press and hold the UNLOCK BUTTON, and insert the key into your ignition. Still holding the UNLOCK BUTTON, turn the key in the ignition to RUN. Keep holding the UNLOCK BUTTON.
moparado. If the Jeep has the keyless passive entry open door handles, keep trying including the hatch. If no success and no spare fob or key, might want to give a call to the local police or the local lock smith. Most police depts. will come out and 'try' to get the door open with a slim jim. A lock smith might try picking the door lock first.
5-9-L. 25 posts · Joined 2013. #3 · Sep 6, 2014. I had occasional keyfob not detected issue with early build 2014 Overland (March 2013 build). Keyfob would be detected fine to unlock door but not to start. Open door and alarm would go off. wait long enough and all would be OK.
It is recommended that you replace the battery in the key fob of your Jeep Grand Cherokee every three to four years. Depending on the vehicle and the service price, you may be required to replace a battery in Remote Key Fob for $50-600. CR2032 is a LiCB CB. The rechargeable battery is charged at 3V in a 10 pack.
It gives a pretty early warning that the battery is getting low. Like at least a few days or more before you would lose function.
